Blog 10 - Annie
This is getting bloody ridiculous now! Due to a massive hurricane heading this way, race start might well be delayed even further than we thought! We don't have an actual date but it's not looking good for at least the next 10 days or so.
There's nothing we can do about it apart from wait for that perfect weather window but it really is frustrating... It's difficult to keep the motivation going and we can feel our levels of fitness fading fast as each day passes.
Not many, but some of the other crews are thinking of heading home to the UK for a few days. We've decided against this option and to use the time out here to really make sure that we're prepared, and that we know that boat inside out. We obviously also need to keep our tans topped up too... It's especially important now that we're officially glamour models after having
appeared 'naked' in The Sun yesterday! Oh the bizarre life of an ocean rower...

La Gomera is getting more and more festive by the minute which is lovely in some ways and quite depressing in others. I want to spend Christmas with my family or on my boat - not here! I'm currently writing this blog from the foyer of our hotel and they are playing 'Last Christmas'sung by a Spaniard whose grasp of the English language isn't the best shall we say!
I can take no more... I'm off to the beach!
