My best ever trip was when I went to Canada in 2009. I travelled to the West coast and explored Vancouver, Jasper, Lake Louise and the Ice Fields Parkway, amongst others. Travelling in late January, the country was covered in its seasonal snow and ice which made the scenery awe inspiring. At every turn, the panorama would make you stop and take another set of pictures!

Next, I’m hoping to visit Jordan. I have a keen interest in Roman history and outside of Italy itself, I have always wanted to travel to Jordan to experience the history and culture and the friendly locals. A visit to the Roman town of Jerash, the crusader castle at Kerak and the rock carved city of Petra are just some of the amazing highlights that await. I hope to make my visit in the very near future. 

No matter where I travel and no matter how easy or tough the walking, I will always take my walking boots with me. Well-worn in, they are comfy and supportive, no matter what the terrain – although I’m not sure how waterproof they are nowadays!
