E-mail Print

Justin Rowlatt and Anita Rani begin their adventure holiday across India in tonight's India on Four Wheels, on BBC2.

Travellers considering adventure holidays in India can discover the magic of the southern Asian country with the first of a special two-part travelogue that is being shown on BBC 2 tonight (August 19th).

India on Four Wheels will follow BBC News reporter Justin Rowlatt and Four Rooms presenter Anita Rani as the pair embark on their own adventure holiday, driving to Chennai.

As well as taking in India's amazing scenery and exploring what it has to offer away from the beaten track, they will be looking at how the motoring industry is transforming Indian society.

The pair will embark on separate journeys, with Justin setting off from Kolkata in an old-fashioned Hindustan Ambassador, while Anita departs from Delhi in a brand-new 4x4.

You'll be able to trace their journey yourself with adventure holidays to India. The North India Explorer + South India Explorer itinerary takes in Delhi, Kolkata and Chennei, as well as Madurai and Goa.

Over the course of the 32 day discovery tour, you'll take in India's roads, rivers and skies.
