Travel writer tells people to visit the country as soon as they can

Travellers who are planning a solo holiday to New Zealand should "do so without hesitation" according to a writer for a travel website.

Graham McKenzie, writing on tourism news website Travelmole, suggested that there are many aspects to New Zealand and all are "extraordinary".

The writer drove around the North Island and listed all of the things he would recommend about the south-western Pacific country.

"The highs and the highs, the locals, the topography, the wine … the history, the food and all of the helpful people both in New Zealand and at home who made it such an extraordinary time," he wrote.

"My advice to anybody who is considering, even remotely, of going or selling a trip to New Zealand is to do so without hesitation."

People on solo holidays to New Zealand may also wish to consider jet-boating around Lake Taupo - the largest lake in the country - which is situated on the North Island.
