Seychelles offer some of the 'most beautiful beaches in the world'

Country is also ideal for family package holidays

People planning an adventure holiday set in one of the most "untouched" yet welcoming natural areas of the world should consider a trip to The Seychelles.

That is according to Jamie Theakston, who wrote in the Daily Mail about his trip to the nation of islands in the Indian ocean.

He said that the region has some of the most unspoilt areas of natural beauty in the whole world.

"[The Seychelles] have been blessed with some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, many as untouched as when Vasco de Gama first travelled here more than 500 years ago," the former television presenter writes.

"The islands are a haven for flora and fauna, with six National Marine Parks; a further 40 per cent of the land is protected as National Parks."

Mr Theakston travelled to the country with his two young children. The Seychelles - made up of 115 islands spread over an area of 155,000 square miles - is perfect for any adventure holiday
