Croatia's coastline has something for every 'different type of traveller'
E-mail Print

Over 1,000 islands means there is a lot to explore

People planning a solo holiday to Croatia should look into exploring the coastline, as it offers "something different" for every type of traveller.

That is according to Meri Matesic, director of the Croatian National Tourist Office in London, who noted that it is difficult to predict which areas will prove more popular during the summer months.

She added that this is because each of them has something different to offer different types of tourists visiting the country.

"Each of those has something different for different type of travellers: from family vacation, culture explorers, nature lovers [to] island hoppers," she said.

"Some of them of course have all that together."

Much of Croatia's huge coastline is due to the vast number of islands - numbering over 1,000 - surrounding the European country.

Croatian Airlines recently announced that it is relaunching its London Heathrow to Rijeka route this spring. The direct flight will operate once per week - starting on April 20th - and will take just over two hours.
