Rooming on tour & Single Room Option
Most tours are based on customers sharing twin-bedded rooms. If you book as an individual, you will be roomed with someone of the same sex. However, on many tours we offer the opportunity to pay a supplement to pre-book a single room. On some of these tours a single room will be provided at some of the night-stops but for logistical reasons not all. Individual Trip Notes clarify this. If, for whatever reason, we are unable to provide a single room as outlined in the Trip Notes, we will refund a proportion of the supplement paid to us for the Single Room Option.
Single Room Option - Where you are able to purchase a single room, the price does not necessarily guarantee you a single room for every night of the tour. For details please refer to the individual Trip Notes for your chosen trip.
Debit & Credit Card Payments
You can pay the deposit and full amount due by credit or debit card. We accept Visa and, MasterCard. All charges are transacted in the UK in the currency in which your booking is made. We do not charge fees for credit card transactions in USD or CAD. However because all transactions are processed in the UK some banks or credit card companies may charge a foreign transaction fee (even though we will be charging your card in USD or CAD). Any foreign transaction fees are imposed by your bank or credit card issuer and are not charged or collected by Explore. Therefore we recommend you check with your credit card company to see what their policy is with respect to foreign transaction fees as these range from zero to 3% depending on the card used. If you are a regular international traveller we recommend you utilize a credit card that does not impose foreign transaction fees both for your travel needs in general and to pay for your Explore trip.
Any changes to prices will be kept updated on the webpage for the tour.
Surcharges after booking
Once you have booked, the confirmed price of your tour may only be altered in limited circumstances. No surcharge will be imposed less than 30 days before the start of your tour. Please see 'Surcharges' in our booking conditions.
Please be aware that the specific itinerary on some of our tours may differ depending on departure date. Please check the relevant trip notes for the most up-to-date information regarding the trip itinerary.
2012 Prices and Itineraries
Prices and itineraries shown for tours departing from January 2012 onwards are subject to change and confirmation. Updated prices and itineraries for 2012 will be published around October 2011. You will be notified if the changes are applicable to your booking in which case updated pricing and itinerary details will be provided.
Compulsory Air Passenger Duty (APD) (for those tours that include flights)
Compulsory Air Passenger Duty is included in our prices, where applicable.
Please note: amounts for Air Passenger Duties may differ according to cabin class.
Where the fuel surcharge or Air Passenger Duty is imposed or increases after the time of booking, this additional amount will be shown on the Final Invoice, sent 9-10 weeks prior to departure. Where the latter is the case, an amount equal to 2% of the invoiced holiday cost will be absorbed by Explore (see Booking Conditions under 'Surcharges') - this amount will also be shown as a separate item on the Final Invoice where applicable.

Tour prices shown in our brochures are a guide only. They represent the basic per person cost of the tour at the time of publication. The selling price at the time you book your holiday could be different to that shown in the brochure. The latest guide price available for each tour departure can be found on our website.
Brochure and website accuracy
The information contained in our brochure, on our website and in our other advertising material is believed correct to the best of our knowledge at the time of printing or publication. However, errors may occasionally occur and information may subsequently change. You must therefore ensure you check all details of your chosen holiday (including the price) with us at the time of booking.
As part of our responsible tourism policy we offset carbon emissions from all customer and staff flights booked by Explore. Our carbon offset partner is Climate Care. If you are making independent flight arrangements to join one of our tours, may we urge you to offset your carbon emissions through Climate Care, or a similar offsetting scheme.
