Family Holiday In The Holy Land

Overview

Old Jerusalem
First stop on our adventure is one of the world’s most fascinating cities, Jerusalem. Our stay here includes a walk through the narrow streets of the Old City; and visits to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Via Dolorosa and Wailing Wall. Afterwards we drive to Bethlehem to visit the church of the Nativity. You can also discover other places of interest at your own pace. Many are within easy reach including the new part of Jerusalem and the Israel museum.

Bedouin Hospitality
Exploring further we reach Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Here we enjoy a swim or a therapeutic mud-bath in the briny waters of the Dead Sea (the world’s lowest inhabited spot at 394m below Sea level). We continue on to the Negev Desert following in the footsteps of the Nabateans who passed through here on caravans of camels laden with precious trade goods. This dramatic landscape is also host to us for the night where we enjoy some local Bedouin hospitality. We sleep under the stars in a Bedouin style camp and have the opportunity to try our hand at camel riding.

The Red Sea
Situated at the southern most tip of Israel on the Gulf of Aqaba of the Red Sea, Eilat nestles between jagged red mountains and crystal clear waters, ruffled by nothing more then a gentle northerly breeze. The year-long hot, dry climate provides a haven for myriad coral and fish species endemic to the bay. We will explore this underwater world with a trip to the purpose built observatory. In your free time you may also wish to try snorkelling, scuba diving, windsurfing or just relaxing on the beach.
