Important Information
Travel Insurance
It is a condition of joining any of our tours that you must have valid travel insurance. It must indicate that you have cover for (at least) medical expenses and emergency repatriation in the event of illness or injury. We also strongly recommend your policy includes cancellation protection as all deposit paid are non-refundable.

The climate is typically Mediterranean. The spring and early summer (March, April, May) is characterised by warm and sunny days with pleasantly cool nights and visitors are rewarded with a stunning array of wild flowers at this time. Mid-Summer (June, July, August) is typically very hot, especially at lower altitudes. The autumn (September, October) brings cooler weather back, on the summits in particular, although sea temperatures remain warm enough for swimming. At all times the weather can be changeable and the sea can be rough on occasion.

Luggage
Unfortunately it does occasionally happen that luggage does not always reach its destination on the same flight as its owner, or possibly it may be damaged in transit. If you are unlucky enough for this to occur, it is important that you file a PIR (Property Irregularity Report) with the airline before leaving the airport. This is essential when you come to make a claim either against the airline or from your travel insurance company

One main piece of baggage and a waterproof day-sac (20-30 litres recommended). You just need to carry what you need for the day which may include a raincoat, jumper, camera, sun-cream etc. On hot days you will carry fewer clothes but more drinking water.

Clothing
The following are essential:
• Good quality waterproof jacket and trousers
• Fleece jacket
• Comfortable walking trousers
• Shorts
• Walking socks
• Sunhat, sunglasses and high factor sun cream

Footwear
We recommend you bring walking boots - leather or fabric are both fine. Some of the paths are a bit rocky underfoot and so you could twist an ankle if not wearing boots. Trainers are not recommended. Make sure that your boots are worn-in and comfortable before the start of the trip. We recommend that you wear/carry your walking boots as hand luggage on the international flight: should your luggage be delayed, your well broken-in boots will be irreplaceable.

Equipment
You will need a water bottle (preferably 1-2 litres), and high factor sun cream. You may like to bring trekking poles, particularly as some of the descents can be long and a bit tough on the knees. It is a good idea to line your daypack with a good quality plastic bag - this will go a long way in protecting your gear from any rainstorms we encounter.
Tap water: is safe to drink in most places but water sources along the trail are non-existent. We encourage our clients not to buy mineral water because of the negative environmental impact with plastic bottles. Energy snacks including chocolate and sweets are recommended whilst walking.

Please bring along your own personal blister kit if you think you may need it. Alternatively you would be able to buy this in a local pharmacy. We recommend using zinc oxide tape to cover 'hot spots' on your feet to stop potential blisters in their tracks.
