How was your Explore Tour Leader?

Our Explore leader was very competent, cheerful and very fair. She knew her job and always briefed us well for the excitements to come. She organised lots of group meals and joined in the fun.

What tips would you give to someone else booking this tour?

Take some sturdy shoes (trainers) for Mount Etna and warm clothes (an anorak) . The wind can be cool, even on a hot day. We wore mainly sandals, but sometimes trainers were more suitable on the rough surfaces. Some people in my group were bitten by mosquitoes, so be prepared. Sunscreen is also necessary.

Do you have anything else to add?

One covers a lot of ground on this tour, but I would not have missed any of it. Be positive and you will enjoy it all.

How was your Explore Tour Leader?

Mandy was fantastic an excellent tour leader able to accomodate your wihes and go that extra mile to make our holiday perfect. Especially when I lost my card in an ATM she was on hand to advise me what to do.

What tips would you give to someone else booking this tour?

Travel light and just enjoy it. And try to speak a little Italian its worth it and really appreciated by the locals.

Do you have anything else to add?

There is a lot of travelling maybe have the option of an extension at Giardini-Naxos tochill before the homeward jouney. Could we have direct flights to the deatinations in Europe

The highlights of the tour were going up Mount Etna, visiting Moxia and the drive between Palermo and Taormina.  Moxia in particular was unusual but atmospheric amongst all the archaeological sites we visited.  The good bit about the holiday was that we saw and did lots but the bad bit was that there was just a little too much - very difficult when there's so much to see!
