How was your Explore Tour Leader?
Jakov knew all of the local places to eat and was full of handy tips to keep away from the crowds. You could see that eh was very organised and did a lot of work behind the scenes to make sure the tour ran smoothly and he has a great cheeky smile.
What tips would you give to someone else booking this tour?
"On your free time in Dubrovnik I recomend getting up early and walking around the city walls, it is much quieter and cooler at this time of the day. It took me about 1 hour 45 to walk around the walls at a very slow pace and taking lots of photos. You will get the best photo opportunities from the walls. You can also take a cable car to the top of the hill for great photo opportunities and less walking and for a different view, take a trip on one of the boats from the harbour, very cheap and worthwhile. "
Do you have anything else to add?
Plitvice National Park is ideal for everyone as it allows a number of different walking options from 2-3 hours up to 8-10 hours if you so choose. There is a network of road trains and boats that will take you between different parts of the park if you don't want to walk for the whole day and these are very frequent. My preffered part of the park for scenery was the lower and middle lakes where there are hundreds of waterfalls, within a very short distance of each other. If are able to visit these in the morning and come back also in the afternoon I would highly recommend it as the park tends to quieten down after lunch time.
