How was your Explore Tour Leader?
Incredible and probably one of the best Tour Leaders I've ever been on a trip with. Santiago was knowledgeable about the region, had a great sense of humour and took great care of the group; you can't ask for more.
What tips would you give to someone else booking this tour?
My top tip would be to pack v lightly on the actual trek, our bags were weighed to keep us to the weight limit. If you're over the limit you have to carry it. Some people on our tour didn't mind but I'm one for a light backpack so I kept everything to a minimum. You really don't need much and can wash some items along the way. I think I got away with 2 pairs of trousers, thermals to sleep in, 3 t-shirts, 1 fleece, 1 v small puffa-type jacket, waterproofs (a must), hat and gloves (a must - it is incredibly windy), boots and trainers, 2 long sleeved t-shirts, pair of jeans, socks. You're given a dry bag at the start of the trip and make sure you weigh it before you leave El Calafate, leave behind anything heavy or doesn't fit. I'd bring mosquito spray and small headtorch too.
Do you have anything else to add?
Book it and enjoy!
