What was the highlight or most memorable moment of your tour?

The views from the highest point of our walk were fantastic and then descending and seeing the monastery in the distance. All scenery was amazing and of course we had sunshine. The whole group gelled together and got on well which made the trip exceptional.

How was your Explore Tour Leader?

Jamie was wonderful. We were looked after really well.  He was informative and enthusiastic about the area and even arranged a walk on our free day for those who wanted to participate.  He arranged wonderful group meals in local restaurants for those who wanted to join in - a real bonus.

What tips would you give to someone else booking this tour?

Just go ahead and do it. A marvellous experience.

What was the highlight or most memorable moment of your tour?

The optional walk to Puig Tomir was by far my favourite day and offered something a little more challenging. We were lucky with superb weather and views all day.

How was your Explore Tour Leader?

Jamie was friendly, sociable, competent, knowledgeable, and considerate of the group as a whole, finding a good balance between organisation and adaptability. The group was of quite mixed ability but he managed this very well, encouraging us to walk at our own pace and alternating between the front and back of the group to ensure everyone was OK. Couldn't ask for much more.

What tips would you give to someone else booking this tour?

I found the walking pretty easy and the days a little short, but there are always opportunities for those who want to expend more energy to continue exploring at the end of the day. The climb up Puig Tomir is more challenging, but well worthwhile for the stunning views if the weather is good. Come prepared for all kinds of weather - even on the sunniest days you may need several layers as it can get very windy in exposed areas. Hiring a bike is a good option on the free day, but beware of unfriendly local cyclists mowing you down, and get hold of a proper map first.

Do you have anything else to add?

Great little short break in surprising beautiful surroundings.

Superb. The route, accommodations, food, company, even the weather was faultless. The only complaint - it ended! I wanted to do more. (EB - 30th April 2011)

Beautiful walking in the forests. In terms of advice have a day at the end of the holiday on the beach at Alcudia.

I think this was my 2nd trip with Explore and it managed to live up to my expectations following the first trip. We had an ominous arrival, with Mallorca getting a 3rd  of it's annual rainfall on our first day but were blessed with sunshine for the rest of the week. All accommodation was lovely, with the 2 nights in the Monastery being a particular highlight. Each walk managed to be quite distinct from the others as we travelled east to Pollenca and we usually managed to have a good look round each town. Most people in the group were between 30-60 with a good mix of singles and couples. The guide managed to find us some fantastic restaurants, often with 3 courses and limitless wine for a fixed price. The walking would suit most people, as long as your fitness is average. We generally set off at about 10.30 and finished walking at about 4.(OL -5th May 2007)
