How was your Explore Tour Leader?

There was no leader as such on this tour - just local guides on Jersey and Guernsey.  The Guernsey guide was excellent - the Jersey guide less so.

What tips would you give to someone else booking this tour?

There is rather more mileage on the walks than suggested by the itinerary.  The hotel on Guernsey is at the top of a steep hill - tiring after dinner.

Do you have anything else to add?

" At least an extra day on Guernsey would be preferable, since the three days based there include a day trip (optional but recommended) to Sark and at least half a day on Herm.

Restaurants on Jersey in particular tend to be fully booked at weekends, so it is difficult for a group to eat together, at least near the hotel.

This was a first year Explore tour, inevitably likely to improve next year on the basis of feedback."
