Here at Explore we've always known we're the leader in championing Responsible Travel and now it's official! The Sunday Times has awarded the Best Green Companies in the country and Explore are the only travel operator to make the list.
We're proud to be the 18th greenest company in the country, but not only that, we're the number one travel company when it comes to green issues.
The Best Green Companies survey takes into account the views of company employees, as well as assessing the environmental performance, policies and practices of businesses. Richard Caseby, Managing Editor of The Sunday Times, said:
“The companies in this survey are all pioneers – enterprising, enlightened and fizzing with new ideas. All have a common sense of purpose about their corporate social responsibility. To get on the Green List a company must not only deliver on environmental performance but instill a culture within the business that ensures employees are doing their part as well.”

About Explore, the awards judges said:
"The adventure holidays offered by independent tour company Explore might be out of this world, but the firm makes sure its focus on responsible tourism doesn't cost customers the earth. The company strives to ensure that its impact on the environment is minimal, its workers around the world are treated fairly and local cultures and customs are respected."
