Our story begins in 1981. With just six tours listed in a simple four-page brochure, founders Travers Cox and Derek Moore were inspired to create a travel company that focused on authentic and sustainable travel experiences.

For more than 40 years, we’ve been perfecting the art of small-group travel offering over 400 trips that range from classic group trips and solo adventures to walking and cycling journeys. Our trips, typically with around 11 people, strike the perfect balance between comfort and adventure. This intimate group size fosters genuine connections and meaningful conversations at the heart of our destinations. Guided by locals who know their regions inside and out, our tours are designed to be hassle-free and full of spontaneous, unforgettable experiences.
