Aaron’s interest in travel was born from a year spent living and working in Paris back in 2012. What began as an admiration for the city itself quickly evolved into something deeper: an astonishment that the world could feel entirely different after just a few hours of travel. Following this experience, even during the years spent working outside of the travel industry, that passion and curiosity stayed with him.
Like many thoughtful travelers, he doesn’t just chase the major sights. One of his favorite rituals is slipping into local grocery stores, imagining what it might feel like not just to visit a place, but to truly live there. What foods would fill the cupboards? What small details would shape everyday life? These quiet observations give each destination its own texture.
Before diving in too deeply, he always starts with a free walking tour. Having once guided walking tours himself, he knows the value of grounding yourself in a new city’s history, geography, and rhythms. And unsurprisingly, walking remains his favorite hobby – he’ll happily spend hours exploring new cities on foot, convinced it’s the very best way to experience them authentically.
What’s next for Aaron to discover? His dream trip is finally becoming real: the Classic Egypt and Nile Cruise adventure he’s imagined since childhood. This summer, he’ll venture there with Explore, ticking off a lifelong wish.
As for essentials? He always travels with his e‑reader. Being able to carry a waterproof, pocket‑sized library that lasts a month on one charge feels nothing short of revolutionary, and it comes with him absolutely everywhere!
