Even as a child, Carmel has been drawn to the idea of experiencing life far beyond her own everyday surroundings. That early fascination grew into a lifelong passion – one she’s now spent more than 26 years immersed in professionally. 
 

No matter where she goes, she embraces every part of the experience. Landscapes, cuisine, wildlife – each destination offers something different, and she loves adapting her interests to the place she’s exploring. But if there’s one theme that consistently shapes her journeys, it’s immersing herself in the culture! She gravitates toward experiences that reveal the heartbeat of a region, helping her understand the stories, traditions, and people that make a place unique. 
 

Carmel’s true happy place is the water. Whether swimming, diving, or snorkelling – all these activities bring her the most joy. It’s no surprise, then, that some of her favorite destinations lie in the world’s most remote, water‑shaped landscapes. The Polar regions hold a special place in her heart – the vast silence, stark beauty, and extraordinary wildlife create a sense of remoteness she finds captivating. One highlight she’ll never forget is kayaking off the coast of Greenland, gliding through icy waters with towering landscapes rising around her. 
 

Her dream destination is the Scandinavian Arctic. Its mixture of rugged coastline, deep traditions, and extraordinary northern lights makes it the perfect next adventure. 
 

Noise‑cancelling headphones are her must-have item. After countless long‑haul flights and unpredictable hotel nights, they’ve become nothing short of essential.
