David has worked in travel for nearly 20 years, starting out with a tour operator specialising in holidays to the Greek Islands. His biggest passion in travel quickly took hold as he spent the next five years working as a specialist for the company's Latin American department, falling in love with Brazil in particular.

Branching out into adventure travel was a turning point and since then it's been all about the adventure. Highlights include visiting the Huarani people deep in the Ecuadorian Amazon, Canoeing and wild camping in the Yukon as well as helping to plan a couple of massive Total Eclipse events in Easter Island and Indonesia.

These days, the family holidays are the important ones - this year marking the first time he was able to a family adventure (in Turkey) which was amazing. He can't wait to make the dream of a family rail odyssey around Europe come true.
