Lesli’s passion for travel began the moment she discovered the thrill of stepping outside her daily routine and into a completely different world. One day she could be sipping coffee while staring at the mountains; the next, she’d be sharing wine and gossip with locals in a bustling city bar. That sense of discovery hooked her immediately, and she’s been chasing it ever since.
For her, the heart of travel lies in the connections she makes. Meeting local people and animals of the region always ends up being the highlight – whether good or bad. One of her most vivid travel memories? Coming face-to-face with an anaconda in the Amazon – a moment she’ll never forget due to being filled with absolute fear and awe.
In big cities, nothing delights her more than a classic Hop‑On Hop‑Off bus tour – an easy, joyful way to get to know the area and soak in the sights. In quieter regions, she prefers to dive into research to find the best local restaurants, seeking out hidden gems and authentic flavors.
Lesli’s happiest outdoors, with hiking and snowboarding being her preferred ways to stay active and connected to nature. It’s no surprise, then, that two of her favorite destinations are intensely tied to the mountains. Choosing between the Inca Trail and the Dolomites feels impossible: the Inca Trail pushed her entirely out of her comfort zone and gave her an immense sense of achievement, while the Dolomites offered some of the most breathtaking views she has ever seen. Next on her list is hiking the Slovenian Alps!
Her must‑have travel essential is an eye mask with built‑in speakers. She needs TV or sound to fall asleep, and this clever gadget ensures she can drift off comfortably without disturbing her roommates – no matter where she finds herself in the world.
With over nine years in the Adventure Travel industry, Lesli’s built her career around helping others discover the world just as she has.
