Vicky’s love for travel was shaped by her Dutch parents who never stopped exploring the world. From an early age she was brought along on their adventures, quickly discovering that she loved travel just as much as they did.
Every destination comes with a very specific ritual: a visit to local record stores. As a lifelong collector, she treasures discovering music in every corner of the world. This includes curating her beloved Rock & Roll Room. Filled with records, books, posters, and memorabilia from around the globe, the room once even made it into a music magazine!
When choosing favorites, Portugal stands out. Its relaxed energy, incredible food, and affordability make it one of the few places she dreams of living in someday. Another unforgettable memory is her honeymoon – spent on an Explore trip to Greece, the perfect blend of romance, adventure, and culture.

With over 25 years in the travel industry, Vicky has seen nearly every side of the business. She’s worked as a tour leader across the U.S., spent years in student travel, and ultimately found her calling in helping others discover the world. She has traveled to more than 55 countries so far but is eager to visit MANY more. For nearly 12 of those years, Explore has been her professional home, where her passion and experience shine every day.
Her must‑have travel essential is a camera (usually her phone) because she unapologetically loves taking photos… lots of them. Every trip becomes a gallery of moments, details, and memories she can relive long after she returns home.
