Peru

Travel to Peru in June for the Winter Solstice, where it’s officially the dry season. The Inti Raymi festival in Cusco is the highlight of the calendar, when local people gather together to show appreciation to the Sun God with music, colourful costumes and – best of all – the sharing of food. The ancient Inca festival is held once per year and on our Classic Peru trip, you’ll get to witness a historical reconstruction at Sacsayhuaman Fortress.

Canada

Canada’s scenery doesn’t disappoint at any time of the year, but in June the beauty of late spring brings the spectacular landscape into its own. The winter blanket of snow beats its retreat, though can still be seen on the higher peaks offering a fabulous contrast between the lush forests and spring flowers. Plus, visiting Canada before the summer crowds arrive means making the most of lower prices at hotels and campsites. On our Western Canada tour you’ll visit three magnificent national parks, plus have the option to sea kayak the coast or go whale watching.
