Vietnam

Vietnam is such a long and thin country that it has different climate zones, and the best time to visit varies by region. In November, the north of Vietnam is dry and warm, as the rainy season has just finished. The south of Vietnam is also good to visit in November as it’s hot and sunny, but avoid central Vietnam as November sees stormy and rainy weather here. Patagonia (Chile and Argentina)

Patagonia is one of the world’s famous trekking destinations, known for the spectacular Mount Fitz Roy with its towering peaks and striking turquoise waters. Visit South Africa in November for warm temperatures and plenty of sunshine. Iceland

Always wanted to see the Northern Lights? November sits in the middle of the Northern Lights season (from late August to mid-April) and you have good chances of seeing them (although sadly they’re never guaranteed) in Iceland. November is a great month to visit Kerala in southern India, where the peak season is just beginning. It’s a popular time because the climate is cool and dry. Italy

For those looking to soak up the sun of the Amalfi Coast without breaking a sweat, November is a fantastic time to embark on an Amalfi Coast walking tour. The Canary Islands

Head to the Canary Islands for some winter sun, where the climate is warm and pleasant. On Gran Canaria the temperature averages around 24c in November and there’s a little, but not much, rainfall. Most tourists come here for the beaches but there’s plenty more to see. Bhutan

Immerse yourself in culture with a visit to one of the impressively colorful festivals of Bhutan. In November it’s the turn of the intriguing Black Necked Crane Festival. The annual festival celebrates the arrival of the birds that make the area their home in the winter months. Costumes, dances and songs emulate the birds and focuses on the conservation of the endangered species. After the event, no visit to Bhutan would be complete without a hike to the Tiger’s Nest Monastery, which perches on a cliff face 900 metres above the Paro Valley.

New Zealand

Swap the dreary weather for some summer sun and head to New Zealand in November. Be one step ahead and avoid the peak season of December by going in November. Costa Rica’s rainy season is from May to mid-November, so heading there in November means you get to see it right after the rain, when it’s at its most lush and green.
