Taking your family to the Indian subcontinent may be a daunting thought for some parents, but Sri Lanka
is truly a wonderfully welcoming country to visit, and the sense of liberation and free spirit when you arrive will quickly banish any fears you may have had.
Sri Lanka is a country where the senses go into hyper drive. Mix in Tuk Tuks zipping in and out of traffic, ancient fortresses built on rocky outcrops, verdant rainforests, vast manicured tea estates and windswept idyllic beaches – Sri Lanka has it all. An added attraction is the remarkable variety in a very small area. Journey times are easily manageable, making it a great destination for travelling with children.
One of the biggest draws to Sri Lanka is the wildlife; we visit Wilpattu National Park that hosts 30 species of mammals including elephant, leopard, sloth bear, buffalo, and sambar; not to mention many beautiful species of birds. Add to this exhilarating white water rafting in Kithulgala, surf lessons on the Indian Ocean and cycling round ancient monuments in Polonnaruwa and you have a fantastic active adventure holiday the whole family can enjoy.
Our new nine day trip is designed for half term breaks, an ideal trip get the kids away from the cold wet days in October or February; the first departure is scheduled for Friday 19th
October 2018. We have also scheduled dates in Easter and Summer school holidays with spare time to extend your trip with a few days on the beach at the end should you wish.
