Enjoy fun days in the saddle and sample delicious local wines on a cycling and wine tasting tour. Pedal past lush vineyards in the Rhône Valley, France, and sip New World wines in South Africa’s mountainous Stellenbosch region.

About our cycling and wine tasting tours

Discover new destinations by bike and relax with sumptuous local wines on our cycling and wine tasting tours. From sampling fruity Rioja wines in Spain’s verdant countryside to exploring the world’s oldest wine producing region in Georgia, we have a variety of trips to choose from.

A typical day on a cycling and wine tasting tour involves riding through the local landscapes, visiting historical and cultural sites, and sampling the region’s best wines. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore locations on your own or with other group members and enjoy delicious local cuisine and tipples in local bars and restaurants.

You don’t need to be an experienced cyclist or wine expert to join our cycling and wine tasting tours. The cycling is graded easy, easy to moderate, or moderate, so you can choose a trip to suit your fitness and riding skill. And for the wine tasting, you can just follow the lead of a local sommelier and enjoy learning about all of the different flavours.

Georgia
Thought to be the birthplace of wine, Georgia boasts swathes of vineyards and wineries. Soak up the warm sunshine on your back as you ascend the hills of the Gombori Pass on our Cycling in Georgia Tour and be rewarded with panoramic mountain views and a free-wheel descent through shaded woodland into Georgia’s Kakheti wine region. In the afternoon, we’ll visit a local winemaker to learn about Georgia’s underground Qvevri pots and sample some of the potent local Chacha grappa.

France
Neat rows of lush vineyards dominate the landscape as you pedal along an old railway line through France’s Rhône Valley on our Cycle Provence Tour. Stop to sample locally produced Grenache wines and take a guided vineyard tour in the foothills of Mont Ventoux. A cycling vacation in the Loire Valley is also popular for its easy-going rides to medieval market towns, old chateaux and peaceful countryside, followed by fine French cuisine and local wine tastings.

Spain
Stay in the heart of the ‘Sherry Triangle’ in Spain’s Jerez de la Frontera on our Andalucia Cycling Tour. Pedal along the River Guadalete, pass lush vineyards and uncover ancient settlements before sipping fortified wine in a streetside tabanco bar at the end of the day.
