Frequently Asked Questions
Thinking about traveling with the family this Thanksgiving Break? Our team is here to answer any questions you may have about Explore Worldwide’s group tours for families.
What ages are your family tours suitable for?
On average, children on our family tours are aged between 10 and 14 years old. If you'd like to know more about a particular trip’s group composition such as the number of people booked or the ages of other children, please give us a call. We’ll help you find a trip with families whose children are of a similar age. For safety, each itinerary has a minimum age, which you can find in the Family Information section of each trip page.
How many families will be on the trip?
Most of our family trips consist of three to five other families, creating a small group of 12 to 18 people (including children). This size is perfect for meeting new people while still enjoying an intimate travel experience.
Do tour leaders provide childcare?
Our tour leaders are responsible for managing planning and ensuring your trip runs smoothly. While they will engage with children throughout the journey, they are not expected to provide childcare. Parents are responsible for their children at all times.
What’s included in the cost?
Accommodation, in-country transport and most activities are included, along with some meals. We leave certain activities and meals open so you have the flexibility to explore independently. We don't include flights on our website because prices can vary depending on your preferences, but we can help arrange them during the booking process. For a detailed list of inclusions, please check the itinerary for your chosen trip or contact Explore Worldwide’s team.
